Sorry I’ve been away this week, I’ve been going non-stop all week and haven’t had a moment to sit and write. Totally joking with that featured picture by the way haha, I swear I found it on Pinterest. April, 15th marks my 6 months since starting my journey and I couldn’t be prouder of where I am today. I’ve said a few times that this journey is about more than just the physical, but a complete life transformation. I can’t believe 6 months have passed since I first stepped foot in my gym! I don’t think ever in my life would I have though that this could be a part of my “normal”. Going to the gym has become natural, even fun, and a way I relax! Previously my way of relaxing involved lots of fats/sugars and really trashy TV (I still watch trash TV, but I’ve cut down on the rest haha). As a reward to myself for 6 months of hard work, I took the day off from the gym (I went Monday instead) and got a massage. It was pure bliss, and my sore muscles we sooooooo happy, plus they had that fancy water with the cucumbers in it and I felt très bougie. Now as I’m going into the next portion of my journey, I think it’s only appropriate to push myself further. So I’ll be upping my workout days to 4 days a week starting at the end of my payment period. I remember when I first started and I could hardly handle going twice a week, and now 3 days seems like nothing. This makes me excited because I never thought I’d have this good of a relationship with exercise, previously it was not even a love-hate relationship, it was pure hate. Now I’m proof that anyone can change. When you feel this good you never want to go back to who you were before.
I would tell you Monday’s workout but I’ve slept since then and with this insane week I have absolutely no memory of it.
Yesterdays workout included:
Strength: 5×10 Strict Press
Super set: 3×8 Pull Ups, 3×12 Row
Conditioning (5 rounds): 50 Rope Slams, 15 Kettle Bell Swings, 1 Prowler
I was bad and forgot to get pictures this week but here’s a selfie of me and my friend Heather post-workout!
