Hi all! As per usual I am scrambling last minute to write this post. Now with my 11Pm bedtime my life has gotten a little more cray cray, I never noticed how much stuff I got done late at night. Today was a good day, I drank plenty of water, I worked out, I ate clean, we went to a dinner party, and then the cake. Oh the cake was so good. Some kind of Almond concoction that was just screaming my name. Alexis, eat me it said. And I did. Although I did something completely unlike myself, instead of going on a crazed cake eating binge fest like I normally would, I took a few bites and pushed it away. PUSHED IT AWAY. Do you understand what it means for me to only have a taste of cake and not gobble the entire thing and then ask for more? It’s a lot in case you don’t know. I love sweets and they have been my vice for a long time. Tonight I showed self control and balance (hurray me!). Of course I still had the desire to eat the entire piece, but I was able to calmly rein myself in. Luckily I had a friend kindly offer to take what was left out of my hands before my unexpected strength broke.
So a few good habits were successfully executed today: 1. I drank plenty of water (About 90 oz of water during the day + my H9 water which is like drinking an extra 96oz of water!) 2. I woke up before 8:30. I am notorious for rolling out of bed and heading straight to work (sad I know). I can’t help it when I go to bed at 2am every night that I’m not exactly ready to start my day before 8:30 in the morning. Today I was awake by 8 and up and cooking breakfast by 8:15, some small miracle. 3. I showed control. Read awesome cake story above^

8AM: Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with, fresh spinach, tomatoes, onion, garlic, Turkey bacon. YUM.

11AM: Staying hydrated at work with my canteen and H9 Water.

12PM: Had a lunch date with my hubby at my favorite restaurant. Thai Chicken noodle soup with fresh basil and bean sprouts. Hit the spot! *Hands to Jesus Emoji*

3:00pm Mid-day snack before workout. Coconut bar and dark chocolate covered Almonds.

5PM: Todays workout- Usual warmup, Clings, and 4 sets: 30 sec Plank, 10 Step Ups, 10 Push-ups, and 1 Prowler. #DEAD And how about that Cling face though?!

Dead from my workout. Literally the only face I could make because I was so tired (haha) but it felt so good!

7PM: Dinner party with friends <3 Dinner was Chicken Marsala for me. Michael taunts me with his chicken fried steak. Must. Be. Strong.

THE cake. So good.
Balance was key today and I think I did pretty damn good.
